Session and Seminar Speakers
Rev. Ted Kang and Mrs. Sandy Kang, CWM
Ted and Sandy Kang joined San Jose Christian Alliance Church in 2002 as Alliance missionary candidates and are now serving as lead pastors.
Ted studied at McGill University in Canada pursuing his dream to become a doctor. During his senior year, he had an encounter with God that changed his life forever. He received his M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is currently completing his DMin. studies at Alliance Theological Seminary. Ted currently serves on the C&MA Board of Directors.
Sandy studied Social Welfare at U.C. Berkeley then received her M.A. in Religious Studies with an emphasis in Missions at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Since 2011, she has been the founding director of Gateway Preschool Academy. She currently serves on the District Executive Committee of the Central Pacific District and recently joined the Empower Leadership Team as the Empower Proclaim Coordinator.
The Kangs are blessed with four beautiful daughters. As a family, they love outdoor adventures, rafting down many California rivers, playing board games and engaging in many conversations together around the dinner table.
Rev. Brian McMillan
Brian McMillan is the founder and lead pastor of CenterPoint Church, a multicampus church with 6 campuses on Long Island, NY. Over the last 19 years, CenterPoint has grown from a church of 4 to a congregation of over 2500 in one of the most unchurched regions of the country. Brian is also a founding board member of ReviveLI.com, a network of like-minded churches on Long Island, dedicated to joint church planting and collaborative learning to advance the Kingdom of God through NY. Brian is married to Sarah and they have two children, Brady and Conor.
Dr. Rob Reimer
Rev. Dr. Rob Reimer is Professor of Pastoral Theology at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY and was the founding and pastor of South Shore Community Church in Massachusetts.
Rob is also an accomplished author. His books, Soul Care, River Dwellers, Spiritual Authority, Calm in the Storm, Deep Faith and Pathways to the King have been sold worldwide.
Rob regularly speaks at pastors’ conferences, leadership conferences, churches, and seminaries around the world.
Rob and his wife, Jen, live in the Nyack, NY area with their four children, Danielle, Courtney, Darcy, and Craig.

Dr. Ron Walborn
Dr. Ron Walborn is the Vice President and Dean of Alliance Theological Seminary and Nyack College in New York City and San Juan Puerto Rico. Dr. Walborn also serves on the Board of Directors for the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He has a B.A. in History from Nyack College, an M.Div. from Alliance Theological Seminary and a DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Walborn has pastored churches in Connecticut and California. He has authored one book and numerous articles and chapters for other publications. Dr. Walborn was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania in a Ministry focused family. Ron and his wife Wanda have four adult children and four beautiful grandchildren.
Dr. Wanda Walborn
Dr. Wanda Walborn served as the Director of Spiritual Formation at the Rockland County campus of Nyack College for 16 years. The 1984 Nyack alumna now serves as Associate Professor of Spiritual Formation at Alliance Theological Seminary in New York City. Her first book, Spiritual Journey: Can I Really Get Close to God? is available on Amazon, Kindle and Audible.
She earned a master’s degree in Intercultural Studies at Alliance Theological Seminary and a doctoral degree in Intercultural Studies from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Wanda also serves as Director of Empower: Certificate Program for Women of the Metropolitan District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, www.empowerww.org.
Wanda is passionate about training and mentoring emerging leaders. As she pours into the lives of young men and women, her desire is that they grasp the depth and breadth of God’s love in order to live lives without compromise for the Lord Jesus Christ. In her “free” time, she enjoys sports, reading, the outdoors and-above all, spending time with her family. She is working with her husband on their website, www.walbornleadership.com.
