Rev. Michael Plunket, D.Min
Rev. Michael Plunket serves as District Superintendent of the Metropolitan District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Ordained in 1986, he has served in ministry for more than 40 years and holds a Doctorate of Ministry from Alliance Theological Seminary.
He served in the Metro District as lead pastor of Risen King Church in New City, NY, from 2004 to 2026. He also served for many terms on the District Executive Committee and currently serves on the C&MA Board of Directors. Earlier in his ministry, Mike organized, helped start, and pastored five churches in Mexico City, Mexico, and Atlanta, Georgia. He is an instructor with College of Prayer International and has led prayer gatherings for ministry leaders in Uganda, Norway, and Ecuador.
Mike's partner in ministry has been his wife, Lisa. While Lisa has gone home to glory, her legacy lives on through the countless lives she impacted.
Rev. Jonathan Schaeffer, D.Min
Dr. Jonathan Schaeffer was elected the thirteenth president of The Christian and Missionary Alliance in May 2025 and is grateful to be part of a family of almost 2,000 churches reaching out locally and globally.
For 25+ years, Jonathan served as lead pastor at Grace Church, a multi-campus, multi-ethnic church on the southwest side of Cleveland, which launched several additional churches in that region. His journey with Jesus began in elementary school when he was shaken by the death of another boy his age . . . and ultimately discovered the joy of life in Christ. The sixth of nine children, Jonathan frequently expresses gratitude for the gift of parents who lived with integrity and spiritual passion, and he credits their example as a catalyst for his spiritual growth. He completed studies at Capernwray Bible School (certificate), Columbia International University (BA, MA), Alliance Theological Seminary (MDiv), and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (DMin).
Rev. Dr. Stanley John
Dr. Stanley John serves as a church planter and pastor of Sound Hope Community Church in New Rochelle, New York.
A missiologist, author, and educator, he previously served at Alliance Theological Seminary, and Asbury Theological Seminary.
His academic research and writings focuses at the intersection of global Christianity, migration, and mission.
Dr. John is Vice-Chair of the Board of Langham Partnership USA, and Friends of Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary (FofUETS).
He is married to Eunice, a licensed marriage and family therapist, and they have two children Philip (8) and Emma (5).

Jennifer Chan
Missional Catalyst, City to City
In this role, she trains, coaches and convenes leaders in the areas of evangelism and missional discipleship.
Before this, she helped lead a discipleship initiative for the Redeemer network of churches. Jennifer also managed a national human trafficking awareness campaign with UNICEF USA, and mobilized UNICEF supporters to engage Congress on issues affecting the world’s children.
Jennifer holds an Ed.M from Harvard University and has taught and trained in China and Tanzania.
Brian McMillan
Lead Pastor, Centerpoint Church
Brian McMillan is the founder and lead pastor of CenterPoint Church, a multicampus church with seven locations across Long Island, New York. Since its founding in 2002, CenterPoint has grown from a congregation of five people to more than 3,500 in one of the least-churched regions of the country.
Brian is a founding board member of ReviveLI, a network of like-minded Long Island churches committed to collaboration, church planting, and advancing the Kingdom of God throughout the New York metropolitan area. He also serves as the Church Planting Director for the Metro District of The Christian and Missionary Alliance.
Brian is married to Sarah, a marriage and family therapist. They have two sons: Brady, who serves in the Army National Guard, and Conor, who attends Brown University.
Brian is passionate about developing leaders, planting healthy churches, and helping pastors reach people in spiritually resistant communities.
Jonathan Weibel
Director, Front Yard Mission
Jonathan Weibel is an Alliance pastor and the author of the book Front Yard Mission; Jonathan encourages believers to see their neighborhoods as their mission field, their workplace as sacred and their commonalities with others as the front door to the church. Alongside his writing and speaking ministry, Jonathan brings laughter and encouragement through clean stand-up comedy that is hilarious, uplifting, and rooted in a biblical worldview. His comedy special is called Hugging Strangers.
Jonathan has been a touring musician, jingle writer, youth pastor, worship leader and planted three churches in Central Pennsylvania. He is married to an outrageously beautiful and gifted wife named Suzy (she promises she didn’t write that part.) She is an author/speaker, drummer, dog lover, and is on tour with the ministry True Girl. Jonathan and Suzy live in State College, Pennsylvania and have two daughters, two grandsons and four Bernese Mountain Dogs.
