Pre-Assessment for Church Planters

Prerequisite to Church Planting

Church Planter in the Metro District Process

01 – Schedule An Initial Meeting

Contact Brian McMillan (bmcmillan@metrocma.org) to schedule an initial meeting with Church Planting Team member to discuss your interest in church planting within the Metropolitan District of the C&MA.

02 – Take Profile Assessment Tests

Take ALL profile assessment tests and email results of Valerie Nash (valeriemnash@gmail.com).

  • The Fivefold Ministry is a term referring to the five ministry roles of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher found in the book of Ephesians. It is a Biblical blueprint we are given to equip people and grow the Kingdom. This is a free online assessment that will help you discover your Kingdom strengths.

  • Church Planter Profiles (CPP) was created to help potential church planters discern their aptitude and readiness for starting a new church quickly and easily in an online environment. CPP includes a variety of assessments to help both us and you get to know you better, as well as determine your inclination for church planting.

  • Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI) helps people understand how their motives drive their behaviors, how these motives and behaviors change during difficult situations, and how to develop a better understanding of the motive-driven behaviors of others. This approach facilitates stronger relationships and more effective teams.

03 – Schedule An Assessment Meeting

A member of the Church Planting Team will schedule an assessment meeting with you and, if applicable, your spouse to discuss the results of the profile tests and next steps to be taken.

04 – Schedule On-site Visits

A member of the Church Planting Team will schedule two on-site visits of your small group gatherings or any current ministry endeavor you are a part of to share in and observe, followed by meeting with your core team (If applicable).

05 – Full Interview

You, and if applicable, your spouse will then be scheduled for an interview with Church Planting Team members to discuss observations in their time spent with you and to recommend an individualized plan for next steps in the planting process.
